Ride Broomfield Community Bike Kitchen

Made Possible By

Two Wheels. One Community. Get Rolling.

There's something real happening here. A community coming together around a simple idea: everybody deserves a bike to get around, stay healthy, and not have their income be the reason they can't.

Because let's be honest. Bikes aren't cheap anymore. Buying one, maintaining one, keeping it on the road. The costs add up fast, and for a lot of people in this community, that's where the story ends before it even begins. But a bike is still a fraction of what a car costs to own and run. And RTD alone? It barely works for anyone. But pair a bike with the bus and suddenly you've got something. Like peanut butter and jelly, a bike gets you to RTD, and RTD gets close, and the bike fills the gap. That's freedom. Real freedom as American as it gets.

The Ride Broomfield Bike Kitchen is a nonprofit, proudly partnered with the City and County of Broomfield and part of the Broomfield Community Service Network (BCSN). We take donated bikes, tear them down, build them back up, and put them in the hands of people who need them. No drama. No gatekeeping. Just neighbors taking care of neighbors.

If you're a Broomfield resident on assistance, here's what that means for you: a free, fully restored bike, plus deep discounts on parts, ongoing maintenance, and education to keep you moving. We can't promise one will be waiting the day you walk in, but we'll do everything we can to make it happen. That's what we do.

And everyone else is welcome too. Whether you want to volunteer a few hours with a wrench, donate the bike collecting dust in your garage, or learn how to keep your own ride in shape, this is your place. We believe a working bike changes things. It gets you to work, to school, to wherever life is taking you next. Come be part of it.

Help Keep Us Rolling
Grants will buy us parts. Tires, tubes, cables, the obvious stuff. They almost never pay for the unglamorous things that make the magic happen day after day, the tools, stands, work tables, storage, lights, and basic organization that turn a pile of donated bikes into real transportation.

Your donation fills that gap. It keeps the tools sharp, the stands upright, and the space welcoming, so someone can walk in without a bike and walk out with a way to get to work, to school, or wherever they need to go.

Service

We will work on your bike. That is not a question. But let us be straight with you about where we are right now. Tools cost money, parts cost money, and we are building this from the ground up. A flat tire, a cable adjustment, the basics, we have got you. Anything beyond that and we may need to order parts, which means a little patience on your end.

Suspension, hydraulic brakes, bearings, hubs, headsets, bottom brackets, that level of work is not something we can tackle yet. Not because we do not want to. Because doing it right requires equipment we do not have. We are working on that. We will get there.

Come see us anyway.
