URGENT REQUEST - RIDE BROOMFIELD BIKE KITCHEN SPACE

Urgent request · Ride Broomfield Bike Kitchen

We have run out of room. Over 100 bikes are waiting. Broomfield neighbors are waiting. We need your help now.

Donated bikes have filled our home and they keep arriving. We need a temporary workspace immediately. We will be done and out by the end of June. Can Broomfield step up?

This is what it looks like right now

Donated bikes have taken over our home. We have run out of space to work, and more keep arriving every week. Every bike sitting idle is a Broomfield neighbor who could be riding to work, to school, or to the grocery store. We need a solution immediately. We will be done and out by the end of June.

The bikes at our home right now. This is what 100+ donated bikes waiting for repair looks like.

Last year, the Ride Broomfield Bike Kitchen gave away more than 45 restored bikes to Broomfield FISH clients. This year, we have over 100 bikes to repair and donate, plus bike racks, pumps, helmets, lights, and locks paid for by a grant from the Broomfield Community Foundation. We have never been better equipped to serve this community. We just need a place to do the work.

From our first bike giveaway with Broomfield FISH. 20 neighbors matched with bikes in just two days.

Broomfield FISH has served this community for over 60 years, supporting residents at or below 200% of the federal poverty level with food, emergency financial assistance, and pathways to self sufficiency. A working bicycle is not a luxury for these families. It is how a parent gets to their job. It is how a child gets to school. It is independence.

We have the bikes. We have the gear. We have the volunteers. What we need is space, and we need it now.

The Ride Broomfield Bike Kitchen in action

The Ride Broomfield Bike Kitchen: rescuing bikes from the landfill and putting them to work for Broomfield neighbors.

Two things that would change everything

A temporary workspace so we can get through our current backlog right away, with a commitment to be done and out by the end of June 2026. And a permanent home to build a true community Bike Kitchen for years to come.

01

Temporary workspace needed now

We need at least 400 square feet of covered space right away. A garage (not residential), warehouse bay, empty storefront, or covered lot. We will be finished and out by the end of June 2026. Our volunteers can work around your schedule. This is a short term commitment with real, immediate impact for Broomfield families counting on these bikes.

02

A permanent Bike Kitchen home

Long term, we are looking for 400 square feet or more where we can build out a true community bike kitchen. A place where Broomfield residents can donate bikes, learn to maintain their own, and help us restore rides for neighbors in need. This is the foundation of something that serves this city for years.
